ATHLETIC BUSINESS COORDINATOR - ATHLETICS

Full-Time; Probationary; $3,490 - 5,235/Mo.; Days & Times to be arranged.

ANTICIPATED HIRING SALARY RANGE TO BE $3,490-3,926/MO.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Work Experience:  5+ years experience in an office environment or technical setting.  Extensive Knowledge:  policies/procedures/outside regulations; program and/or administrative specialties; standard accounting procedures; university and NCCAA infrastructure, policies/procedures; English grammar/punctuation/spelling.  Skills:  research, development and evaluation of policies/programs; collection, evaluation, interpretation of data; develop sound conclusions; make appropriate recommendations; expertise in investigating/analyzing problems with broad impact/implications; use of considerable judgment/discretion.  Specialized Skills:  knowledge/use of PC based computers using Windows operating system; PeopleSoft; Office 2003 software; computer software applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, data management; effective interpersonal/communication skills.  Abilities:  take initiative; optimize the utilization of standard office machines; perform standard business math, such as calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data and making projections; independently plan/organize/coordinate work; anticipate problems; use creativity and ingenuity; willing to work additional hours to meet critical deadlines and complete projects/assignments; draft/compose correspondence; compile/present reports; interpret/organize/present information/ideas effectively; recruit/lead/motivate/train/schedule work of others; recommend strategy to enhance employee performance; handle broad range of interpersonal contacts to include sensitive nature. Specialized Abilities:  reconcile revenue and expenses.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Provide administrative support to and exercises limited delegated authority on behalf of the Director, primarily in the areas of budgeting, accounting and procurement; assist the Director in areas of budgeting, accounting, and procurement; assist the Director in planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring of the Athletic Department procedures/processes required to meet the department’s short and long term operational budget needs.
