Selection Criteria

Outstanding achievement in
intercollegiate athletics at
or
·
Outstanding achievement in the field
of athletics after athletic participation at SFSU, significant contribution to
society, and/or has represented SFSU Athletics in such a positive manner that
they deserve special recognition. For
example: made a major medical discovery, famous actor/actress, major political
figure
and
·
· Accomplishment should be achieved in a manner that exemplifies the SFSU
concept of a student-athlete. Graduation is not a necessary condition but
meaningful progress toward graduation should be considered.

A five-year period must elapse from the most recent participation in the
intercollegiate athletics program.
Who can nominate an
individual for induction into the Gator Hall of Fame?
Only a current member of
the Gator Hall of Fame or a current Department of Athletics employee can
nominate an individual for the Gator Hall of Fame.
How can I submit or
recommend someone for the Gator Hall of Fame?
You can submit a nomination
for the Gator Hall of Fame in two ways:
1) Write a letter detailing the individual’s accomplishments. The letter must include contact information
for the nominee (Address and phone number), the year they participated at SFSU,
the sport/s they participated in, all of their athletic accomplishment while at
SFSU, all of their athletics accomplishment after leaving SFSU and any other
information that may be pertinent to their selection.
2) Submit a nomination form. Nomination forms can be obtained in the
Department of Athletics main office located in Gym 102 or on online at http://athletics.sfsu.edu/includes/halloffamequestionnaire.html.
