Alek Butler
Alek Butler is in his second season as member of the Gator wrestling coaching staff. He wrestled for two seasons for the Gators. His senior season, he finished with a 9-18 record and was a member of the NWCA All-Academic Team. In his first season as a Gator he finished with a 8-18 record with one pin and one major decision...Placed fourth at the California Collegiates and fifth at the RMAC/West Regionals. Before coming to SF State, Butler wrestled for two years at San Joaquin Delta, where he was a Two-Time Captain and a Two-Time Academic All-American...Graduated from High School in 2001 from Sonora...he was a Three-time MVW winner, Two-time Captain, and the Robert Hatter Award recipient...Son of Daniel and Sharon Butler and brother of Shawna...Works at a Wildland Firefighter for the US Forest Service...Graduated from SF State with a BA in History.
